CROSS COUNTRY SKI CLINIC
Boulder Mountaineering School, CMC Boulder Group
This clinic is suitable for beginners and intermediates, people who have never skied to people who want help with specific techniques.
We use traditional xc skis, not the fat tele/AT skis. We also stress waxable skis for most of winter, waxless if folks want to extend season into spring.
The clinic consists one lecture at Neptune Mountaineering with Gary Neptune the projectionist, and 2 field trips. These are followed by optional ski tours on various weekends throughout the winter.
The lecture is mainly on equipment and clothing. There is also a great video on technique. Our whole emphasis is on technique for the enjoyment of the Front Range trails--Brainard, Hessie, Peaceful Valley, Coney Flats, etc.
